I never used a night cream before. What I use every morning is same with what I use at night. Honestly, I am not that 'interested' or uber serious on skin care. I only do the basics- Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing and if I'm in the mood, I use facial scrub and/or facial mask once a week. I don't care about sunblocks, night cream, eye cream and others though I heard about them.
Okay, before I start with my BR Corrective Night Cream Review, let me share this with you guys.
Reasons why you need to use a night cream
1. A night treatment really helps maintain our skin's moisture to prevent dehydration and premature wrinkling.
2. Using a night cream can actually help your skin recover faster. It stimulate cell renewal and restore elasticity.
3. Night creams contain a higher concentration of antioxidants and whitening ingredients than day cream.
Based on the statements above, I can say that we really need to use a night cream, but we have to be careful in choosing what kind/brand of Night cream we will use.
- In choosing a night cream, you must consider your skin type. If you have oily skin opt for a hydrating but oil-free formula night cream and if you have dry skin, go for richer creams. Lastly, for those who have sensitive skin, choose a cream with hypoallergenic formula.
- You also have to consider your age. If you are in your 20's, use a light but moisturizing night cream to prevent you from breakouts and blemishes. For those who are on their 30's go for night creams with anti-ageing and anti-sagging ingredients and for 40 and above, your skin becomes dry and may suffer from breakouts so look for a night cream that contain soy, wheat germ, wheat protein and/or honey to retain water. Meanwhile, Shea Butter and Apricot Kernel Oil can offer higher moisturizing effect.
I am on my early 20's (22) and have a dry skin, I need to use a richer night cream to prevent blemishes, breakouts and most of all, to moisturize. I am on my search for a good night cream when I stumble upon this beauty blog (forgot the URL ,sorry). The blogger made a review about this Night Cream from HBC. I read the article and it gave me a feeling of "Hey, I wanna try this product". After that day, I immediately went to HBC near us and look for this night cream. It's good to see that they never let a product get out-of-stock.

to skin and it helps lighten dark spots and blemishes.
The first time I applied the product, I had this tingling sensation that made me panicked for a few minutes. I thought that it maybe a skin reaction or something. I looked at the ingredients expecting to see menthol, but I found none. Yes, I get a bit nervous 'coz I am afraid it might lead to something really undesirable. However, I continue using the product until now and I never had that tingling sensation again. :)

Thanks for sharing your review on the corrective night cream! I'm wondering where I can get a hold of this because I too have dry skin that really sensitive. The fact that this lightens dark spots is a major plus and that's exactly what I'm looking for as well!

Jen,
DeleteThanks for dropping by! I'm grateful that you liked my blog, I visited your blog and I liked it
too:) With regards to the night cream, I think only HBC distributes @bodyrecipe and I'm not sure
if they do have Online Store. Vsit their site http://www.hbc.com.ph/ or their FB page
https://www.facebook.com/myHBC if you have time. Their products are very affordable yet effective.
Hugs & kisses,
Pham
