What It Feels Like To Be A Young Career-Oriented Mom?

Yes lovelies, you 'read' it right. I am  a mom now! My little girl just turned 2 years old last January 23. I am proud of her. She's been a good little angel to me and to everyone she's been with. 

It's been a long time since I last posted an original article here. I never thought of getting back into blogging.. why? because for me, blogging WAS my life. Blogging WAS my passion. But I am back. I am here.. writing again. Sharing a piece of me. Of my life. 

Years ago, I was everywhere - almost. You can see me in local events, blogging workshops, blogging seminars, conferences and more. I posted atleast 3 articles a day. I met several bloggers - from amateurs to professionals.  Now, I am here sitting in front of my laptop and letting my heart out.   I stop calling myself a blogger simply because I stopped writing. I stopped sharing my passion. I stopped sharing my point of views and my experiences.  

A Shoe Story: Must-Have Shoes and How to Wear Them

When I was young, or should I say younger, I thought that stilettos are for upper class women only. I saw them in movies attending parties wearing cocktail dresses and all glammed up with classy jewelry and metallic sandals or pumps. I admire how they carry themselves wearing those shoes. They look oh-so-elegant!

Now, here I am in one of the world's fashion capital - Milan. I know I'm not a fashion guru or a fashion stylist, just a self-proclaimed fashionista haha, but I still want to look stylish whenever I roam around the city.  

But how can I? if I only have 2 sneakers and a red stilettos. I regret not investing in shoes. I admit I am not a shoe-lover and I am a certified 'kuripot' *laugh* I may have a lot of clothes but I can't wear some of them simply because I don't have the right shoes to pair with them. My options are pretty much limited to Brown Pony sneakers, White Converse sneakers and Red stilettos. I can wear them as much as I wanted but hey! It's kinda boring to wear the same shoes over and over again.  :(

So before you get into this horrible situation, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.. Listen to me now. Okay?

Must - Try Summer Outfits

" For them, SUN is GOLD." - That's what my aunt always tells me whenever I ask her why Italians love summer. Today is sooo HOT!  It's a good time to go to beaches, roam around Milan, go out-of-town and of course, go Shopping - wee! It's SALDI month!

I find it easier to dress up and play with clothes during summer than in winter,spring and fall. You can wear maxi dresses and/or skirts. If you want, a comfortable tank top and shorts and pair it with wedges or flats. Now, the most-seen outfits are white dresses, floral maxi dresses and pastels.

First Day High: Back to School Giveaway

Holidays are over and it's back to school once again, but not for me. How I really wish I could go now and shop for notebooks, pens, new bag, new shoes and attend the first day of school. Whoa! I really miss studying! I love studying!

I know some of you are excited and some are nervous especially those students who will enter college this semester. College is much better than High School though you will experience more stress and more hell weeks but don't fret 'coz there's so much to get excited about college life.

How being an Advertising major helps me blog better

Let's take a break from product reviews and fashion-related posts. This time I'd like to share with you how my experience as an Advertising major helps me blog better.

I believe I am a born writer, but as a blogger? Nah! I love writing as much as I love Spaghetti al Pesto ^_^.
I started writing poems and essays when I was 10. Actually, I wrote 2 - 3 short stories back then. I also joined
several essay and poem writing contests before and I was lucky enough to grab some awards. *yipee!* I may
not see myself writing posts and hosting giveaways,but now,  here I am ..blogging. 

Last April 21, 2012, I have officially graduated college from LPU - Manila with my Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication major in Advertising. In my 4 years of studying and understanding my course, I really learned a lot not just from books and from my professors but from the real world as well.  

We handled several events, attended seminars/conferences and joined numerous competitions where we made TV ads, Radio ads, print ads, social networking ads and so much more. 

I've been blogging for about  6 months now and  I'm happy to see improvements on my blog. These improvements were achieved by applying these great lessons I've learned as an Advertising student.

1. CREATE AWARENESS

As a blogger, imagine yourself as a businessman and your blog is your product. You want your product to sell and to be known in the market. To achieve this goal, you have to market YOURSELF and your BLOG first. 

*Marketing yourself is the first thing you need to learn. You need to define yourself; why are you blogging? what's your purpose? what's unique about you? You have to let your readers know why should they believe and trust you. 

*Market your blog. No one will buy something that they don't know exists. In order for you to gain readers and followers, you need to promote your blog. Let them know that your blog DO exists!

5 PM Routine

Few days left before my graduation and I really really need to get fit or should I say, slim? haha. Well, I'm not as fat as before, I just need to keep this figure. Back to my good old days, I belong to those people they called 'mataba' . It's really frustrating. You want to wear something but you can' t because it doesn't fit you; and if you insist , you will look like Suman . The worst thing about I-want-to-get-fit is that, I am not a gym lover or exercise lover. I am so stubborn and I hate exercising. I tried a lot of diets - from what they called After 6 to Water diet. Yes, I saw some good results but I guess they aren't enough. I still have these BIG ARMS and BIG LEGS plus a getting-bigger belly haha.

As I was saying, I only have less than 2 weeks to get fit. Yup! 2 weeks. Well, I guess I need a miracle! But unfortunately, like what Nora Aunor said "walang himala". I have to do something. I need to exercise. It feels like it's ALL OR NOTHING. So a week ago, I started this mixed aero-kickbox exercise.  I can't afford to enroll on a gym or aerobics class , I find them expensive. There are free aerobic classes nearby but most members are senior citizens. Ahem, I'm still young, haha. So there, I searched some aerobic and kickboxing exercises on Youtube. I'm glad I found great videos and I wanna share it with you guys.

Last time, I looked for a Tag Cloud maker for my blog. Fortunately I found a tag cloud generator. This time, I am dying to have a 'related post' widget. I've seen a lot of 'tips' on how to have a related post widget with thumbnail, but unfortunately all of them were a 'lil bit hard to do because you need to 'hack' your blogger HTML code. Yup! - you have to look for a certain tag/word then paste a code after it. Good heavens! I am not into hacking! ahahah! well, as far as I'm concerned, I don't want to change anything on my blog's HTML code. I'm a bit nervous about it and I don't want to do any harm on my blog. So I searched for a safer way to get it and voila! I found one - Linkwithin!

Dancing Lights

Because it's CHRISTMAS, Ayala gives us something spectacular - The Dancing Lights! I knew about this newest attraction on FACEBOOK. Some of my friends posted their pictures. I saw it and I was  amazed by its beauty. I'm not the kind of person who loves going out, but this time I got curious about it. So Karl and I decided to visit Ayala Triangle and take a peek on this talked-about 'New Christmas spot'.

Seeing it 'for-real' is really wonderful. You'll be amazed on how the lights arranged and designed. Being on the 'spot' makes you feel like you're an ALICE in a wonderland!
