CALERUEGA PHILIPPINES

My friend, Karl, and I went to Caleruega last Monday, November 21, 2011. The original plan was to visit the Caleruega first then head to  Taal Volcano Picnic Grove to have lunch/snack; but it never happened.

We left immediately after we had brunch.  We took a bus, BSC Liner (Pasay) which costs Php 106/person and it took us 3 long hours to get there (Nasugbu,Batangas) and another  ride (tricycle) to get to Caleruega. The tricycle costs Php50. Kuya Mkel gave us his number so that he can pick us up when we're done with our tour.

After 9 long years of waiting, I'm here again! Welcome to CALERUEGA! A heaven on Earth! I've been here once, but I can't remember my age at that time, 12 I guess. hehehe. I fell in love with this place the very first time I set foot in here. I fell in love with its magnificent ambiance. So there. Karl took me to a spot called Kampo Ariba. This is a spot where you can have bonfire. You just have to bring your own food and tent. An overnight stay in the campsite costs Php 150/person. There are lot of facilities you can use for example, VERITAS HALL is good for conferences or any other large gatherings. GAZEKUBO, for small group get together and of course, they have several cottages for solo, for two and for group or family. According to their Reservation Guidelines, A minimum stay of 2 days is required for a group of at least 30 persons.Reservations that are less than the minimum requirement are wait-listed. Accepted reservations of less than 30 persons or 2 days will have a Php 150 surcharge per person.

Back to our tour, after we went to Kampo Ariba, we found a place not so far from the camp, it's like a small hill with a small chapel on top. You have to cross a hanging bridge to get there. We able to reach the top but it cause me too much muscle pain on my legs. ahahaha ! I'm not used to it. Climbing, trekking.. whoa! but It's worth the pain! ahahaah

Oops! I forgot to tell you,  before you can see the campsite, you have to enter to a  lil' garden where you can find  small Koi ponds. Kois here are for sale. Php40 -small one, not sure about the medium (Php 60) and large (Php 120) ones.

We never forgot to visit the Caleruega Chapel, Of course! It's the 'Apple of the Eye' here. This is one of the best place to exchange vows. :))

On our way to church,we had a chance to see the ever-famous Grand Staircase which I really love! I imagine myself walking down the stairs wearing my bridal gown! weee!

                                                                see how magnificent it is!

We want to stay longer but we can't. We still have another place to go to - Picnic Grove (but due to a heavy traffic, we never had a chance to visit the place :(  better luck next time )

So There you are guys! You had a lil' sneak peek of Caleruega. If I were you, I'll invite my buddies, family or  partner to visit this wonderful place.  If you have time, grab a chance to experience Caleruega!
